We have a match funding pot of £30,000 to Double Donations to £60,000 this Christmas.

Thanks to Pledge funders and our Charity Champions The Childhood Trust (TCT), we have a match funding pot of £30,000 to Double Donations to £60,000 this Christmas.

Will you help us make it a Christmas to remember?

We are running a Double Donation alongside The Big Give campaign between 2nd December and 9th December.

Any donation you make will be Doubled, thanks to the support of Pledge funders and The Childhood Trust who have supported us with a match pot of £30,000. This campaign will raise funding towards our work and activities, including a transformative project that will empower some of the most disadvantaged children in the country to develop essential life skills while campaigning for the changes they want to see in how police treat children.

How can you help Just for Kids Law and get involved?

Just for Kids Law and the difference we can make together

Aika Stephenson, Co-Founder, Legal Director and Co-Lead at Just for Kids Law recently appeared on a post-show panel after Punch at the Apollo theatre.

Listen to the post-show recording: After The Punch!

"For these are all our children, we will all profit by or pay for what they become."

This is the quote, at the heart of Just for Kids Law, from civil rights activist and author James Baldwin which Aika reflected on during her conversation with Jacob Dunne, Desmond Skyers and Ciaran Thapar.

We wanted to also reflect on two aspects which Aika highlighted. They encapsulate the core of our work directly representing children and young people, and working to influence and uphold policies which ensure each child's human rights are met in their interactions with police:

- Our job at that point of crisis, is to look back with the child and understand the factors that have led to that juncture

- And through the story of our colleague looking back at school reports for a young person facing criminal charges, “When did falling asleep in class become a behaviour issue, rather than a safeguarding one?”

Together as a community of people who care deeply and can create change through our actions, connections and resources, we make a formidable force.

During the campaign our website donation page will be diverted to The Big Give for your Donation to be Doubled by our match funding pot.
