Janet Latinwo

Trustee

Janet has taken an active role in community organisations and charities providing voluntary assistance for over 20 years, with the belief that together small steps can make great strides. Janet has held a number of trustee, Public Relation & Legal positions within community based organisations and charities over the years, including former Chair and Trustee of AFRUCA Safeguarding children, and London co-ordinator for the Williams Syndrome Foundation.

Janet is a Chief Lawyer currently working in the public sector in the area of child protection, litigation and local governance. As a University of London certified Lecturer of Law Janet has also provided training to clients and students on a range of safeguarding topics. 

Janet has previously been a community governor for a primary school for several years and thereafter Chair and Director of a Multi Academy Trust for secondary schools.  Janet has extensive experience of providing equality and diversity training within the corporate and public sector, facilitating unconscious bias/ Cultural Competence training primarily in public sector and educational institutions.
