Cheryl joined Just for Kids Law in 2020 as a Housing Solicitor. After qualifying as a solicitor in 2005 Cheryl has worked in private practice, law centres, as well as Shelter’s Legal Department. She has experience in dealing with all aspects of Housing Law including possession proceedings, homelessness, disrepair claims and unlawful eviction. She managed the Tenancy Relations Contract on behalf of the London Borough of Brent and developed an in-depth knowledge of Unlawful Eviction. She is passionate about defending the rights of people facing housing difficulties and will fight fearlessly to defend those rights. She has a particular interest in discrimination and has acted in many cases raising these issues, including being instructed by the Official Solicitor. She feels privileged to use her skills and experience to enforce the housing rights of young people at JfKL.
