Business Development Officer


Role Summary

Contract term: 12-month fixed term contract, with possibility of extension

Location: Central London    

Hours: 28 - 35 hours per week, with possibility of increasing hours. We will consider agreeing other hours for the right candidate

Salary: £28,700 - £32,800 (dependent on experience in directly equivalent role)

Probation period: 3 months

The Role

This is an exciting and challenging role within a thriving charity based in Central London. You will support the business development of YJLC’s new training and membership model and co- ordinate the successful delivery of training. This will include marketing and selling the membership package to a range of potential customers, developing and maintaining systems and processes for managing members and training, and supporting the delivery of in-person and online training events and webinars.


About You

The successful candidate will have prior marketing, sales or training experience and be able to support planning and delivery of a training programme with in-person and online events, and live and recorded webinars. You will have excellent communication and networking skills, and the ability to develop partnerships.

We are looking for someone who has high IT proficiency and can work across digital platforms to publicise our membership model and training programme. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative, organisational and time management skills with the ability to work accurately, and high attention to detail. The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience in delivering training and/or working in a training team and be able to multitask and prioritise workload.

A confident and positive attitude is a must, as well as a flexible approach to meet needs of the team. You will have the ability to work confidently and independently with external stakeholders.
