Saad Butt

Youth Advocate

Saad joined Just for Kids Law in January 2021. From involvement in peer youth work since his teenage years (elected member of UK Youth Parliament when he was 15), Saad is a qualified Youth Worker and Law graduate with over 18 years' experience working with a diverse range of young people. Much of this has been in advocacy and information, advice and guidance roles such as working with unaccompanied asylum seeking children and young people, looked after children, young care leavers and those experiencing mental health issues. With lived experience as a former asylum seeker, Saad brings a personal touch to his work which compliments his offer to our clients as our newest Youth Advocate. Saad has an innate interest in social justice for young people and is passionate about being a positive presence in client’s lives. He champions them with grit, resilience and tenacity, creating a culture of empowerment whereby his client’s can one day make him redundant and step up as future Youth Advocates.

Outside of work, Saad likes spending time with his family and friends, reading, listening to music and staying fit.
