Opportunities Project

Our young people are motivated and dream of a better future. Their problems are complex and progress into positive activities is hard to achieve. Our Opportunities Project provides an in-depth package of support that focuses on all our young people we work with who want to get a qualification and the opportunity for a better future.

Young people are mentored by a Youth Opportunity Advocate to access training, volunteering or employment. Activities may include: CV writing, job hunting, mock interviews, researching different jobs and careers, attending appointments and arranging and attending work or volunteer experience placements.

Youth Ambassador Project

The overall aim of the Youth Ambassador Project is to give a voice to marginalised young people and to empower them to find solutions to the issues that matter to them in their local communities.

As a frontline organisation, we frequently receive requests through our networks for young people to attend as public speakers and tell their stories. This project gives us the chance to empower our young people to attend these events, which have included, over the last year, public speaking events at Parliament and at government committees.

Partnership Opportunities

In addition to our representation and advocacy, JfK Law wants to forge links with local businesses and employers who are able to offer young people the opportunity to develop vocational skills and broaden their prospects. If your organisation is interested in offering work experience placements, apprenticeships or employment opportunities, full- or part-time, please contact us.
